What replaces criminal Netanyahu

While we have every reason to celebrate Netanyahu‘a demise (just as we do the walloping Trump received in the US midterm elections), nothing good is likely to come from an Eisenkot-led Israeli government for Palestinians.

As I’ve written in Red Flag, the Zionist opposition parties have far more in common with Netanyahu and his right wing allies than they do with the Arab/Palestinian parties. Both Arab-majority parties have now agreed to back Eisenkot’s coalition, though neither have agreed to join the coalition government.
Ahmad Tibi, who heads the Ta'al faction of the Arab List is presenting this as choosing a lesser evil.
Haaretz.com reports:
“Responding to the president's question about whether the Joint List would support an Eisenkot-led government parliamentarily, Ahmad Tibi, who heads the Ta'al faction in the alliance, said they were not asking to join the government, but would vote with the Eisenkot camp to block Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"We disagree with Eisenkot on many issues; we are not choosing between good and better, but between bad and less bad. We know what it means – for the Arab public as well as for the Israeli public – to replace this bad government," Tibi said. "We think a government of change can be formed, and we will support it from the outside. This is a firm, clear, and conscious decision."”
In the wake of the “blue tsunami” in the US midterm elections, Eisenkot and his allies are looking to revive Israel’s image in the IS and abroad, and any backing they can secure from Arab parties will serve as a fig leaf to hide the genocidal nature of their regime.
Who are the faces behind this coalition?
“Eisenkot, who served in Netanyahu’s government for eight months during the Gaza genocide, is responsible for a long list of war crimes and crimes against humanity, opposes Palestinian statehood, and is credited with being the mastermind of the Israeli’s army’s Dahiya Doctrine, which calls for disproportionate force against civilians.
Bennett served in the Sayeret Matkal and Maglan special forces units of the Israel Defense Forces, before launching himself as an IT entrepreneur and subsequently entering politics as Netanyahu’s chief of staff. Accused of involvement in the massacre of more than one hundred Lebanese civilians in Qana in 1996, Bennett has openly called for the extrajudicial killing of Palestinians. He reportedly told a national security advisor, “If you catch terrorists, you simply have to kill them”.
Lieberman, a former Netanyahu minister, is also no stranger to controversy. He has advocated that Israel’s citizens should sign a loyalty oath or lose their right to vote. In April 2018, during the great March of Return, Lieberman justified the killing of at least 189 unarmed Palestinian protesters by declaring that there are “no innocents in Gaza”, a belief now widely shared by the Israeli public, according to a Hebrew University poll.
General Yair Golan, leader of the Democrats, is considered the most “left-wing” of the opposition coalition, and [during the election campaign was] the sole leader of a Zionist party to countenance governing with the support of Arab parties…
Yet Golan, who was previously the army’s deputy chief of staff, has been one of the most strident advocates of genocidal crimes against Palestinians in Gaza. In an October 2023 interview with Ynet, Golan said:
“First of all, close all the electricity switches to Gaza. I think that in this battle, it is forbidden to allow a humanitarian effort. We need to say to them: listen, until the [captives] are released, from our side, you can die from starvation. It’s totally legitimate”.”

Stopping the Israel genocide and apartheid will not come from within israel. Only through the total isolation of this appalling government by current western support will any change happen. Gaza is rubble the West Bank is under siege it’s tragic.
