Looks like NZ First (Winston) is the kingmaker again.

My pick is NZ First will go into coalition with Labour .

NZ First had a worse coalition with National in 1996 than Labour in 2005 , betraying Winstons whole reason for leaving the National was to slow down neo liberalism and asset sales. While Labour hasnt said this election it has previoulsy said it was wrong in 1984 and wont sell any more assets.

If you look at Labours and NZ Firsts policy. Labour lines up better with NZ Firsts main policies.
same
More Police on the front line (1000 - 1800)
Cut immigration to sustainable levels
Make tvnz non commercial
Electric/clean govt vehicles
End secondary tax
Restrict land ownership/purchase to just nz citizens and residents
Swimable clean rivers

similar
No ISDS in TPPA -labour to confirm its stance thou
Min $20 min wage -labours only $16.5 but future based on costs
NZ First work for dole - labour unemployed subsidy
Housing - Both labour and national want to solve NZs housing crisis by building "affordable social " houses this in reality mean state funded private houses which NZ First aligns with thru land but not the house itself.
NZ First bottom line of not raising pension retire age to 65 is not an issue for labour or national this election even thou labour (had it as policy last election ) but will be in the future.
A sticking point is Labours desire to reestablish unworkable ETS (freemarkt solution to climate change) while nzfirst wants replace ETS with something else. (Green party also opposes ETS)

unknown
labours stop nationals state house sales policy
labours stop nationals tax cuts policy
